Back in 2007 long before I started That’s That Productions I had the honour of filming (along with friend of mine from my college years) Conor McGregor’s first amateur MMA fight. The event was called Ring of Truth and we filmed it using two mini dv JVC camcorders and what seemed like a backpack of dv tapes! I was ringside with my small handy-cam so I got a Birdseye view of the action. When the event was over we took down the names of the fighters who were interested in getting a copy of the DVD to watch over their technique. Conor of course was only too happy to order a copy! The DVD was made available as a limited release and all copies available were taken. Looking back its hard to believe that this fight was the beginning of one of Ireland’s greatest ever sporting hero’s careers!
